Symptoms: Digestive Troubles, aches, Fatigue and Anxiety
Food Reactions: Cows Milk and Yeast Intolerance, and Hazelnut Allergy

“Amazing”

36-year-old Claire Newrick, who works in education, was suffering from a multitude of symptoms, including digestive issues, aches, fatigue, and general anxiety about food. Claire was struggling with these symptoms for far longer than she’d care to admit. She suffered for around 10 years, but just prior to taking one of our tests her symptoms reached their peak of frequency and intensity.

These symptoms affected her day-to-day life dramatically. Her fatigue impacted her work and home life, and she felt irritable a lot of the time. Because of her food anxiety, she also lost a lot of weight. What she considered to be one of the worst aspects of her symptoms was the fact that she could not accept dinner invitations from family and friends due to the anxiety about how she would feel the next day. The thought of taking her daughter on days out produced feelings of dread, as going to new places without being aware of the nearest toilet facilities was an unwelcome variable.

She attended numerous GP appointments in an effort to try and control and manage her symptoms. She kept food diaries and even had a GP-led coeliac test, but she still could not get to the bottom of what was causing her symptoms.  Unfortunately, she was told her symptoms did not warrant a full investigation as she wasn’t ‘deemed ill enough.’ Claire was fed up, so she took matters into her own hands.

After doing research online, she came across a company offering high-quality industry-leading at-home intolerance and allergy tests by the name of YorkTest (yours truly!).

She found the testing process straightforward, and she was surprised by the fact that she discovered she was intolerant to cow’s milk and yeast. On top of this, she found out that she had a hazelnut allergy.

The YorkTest nutritional consultation and customer care team, which she described as ‘brilliant,’  offered tailor-made suggestions, and devised a plan to help her adjust her lifestyle to accommodate these changes. She took all of this on board. Once she removed her trigger foods, she used only one word to describe how she felt, and that word was ‘amazing.’

In just 2 to 3 days, she started noticing notable changes in her overall well-being and her everyday life. There were no more turned-down dinner invitations, no more postponed days out with her daughter, no more intentional weight loss, and perhaps most importantly, no more food anxiety.

It was safe to say Claire’s life changed for the better. Have you suffered from similar symptoms to Claire? If so, contact us today, and we may be able to help you out.
