Sarah Hughes
I’m Sarah – a nutritional therapist and medical herbalist who has been in practice since 2006, both in Ireland and the North of England. As well as consulting for yorktest, I am the nutritional therapist for Breast Cancer Haven in Leeds and also have a private practice.
Attending seminars and courses on a regular basis, in order to maintain a high standard, keeps my finger on the pulse in the ever-dynamic world of nutrition.
I have lectured on the Medicinal Plants and Functional Foods MSc at Newcastle University and teach the Foundation in Plant Medicine course at Dilston Physic Garden, Northumberland. I also lead foraging courses.

Why yorktest?
yorktest are a well-established, long term player in the field of food sensitivity. I have used their tests for many years as a practitioner and always found their tests to be reliable and patient-friendly. The team at yorktest are also very professional to deal with.
What are the highlights of your role?
That’s an easy one. There are so many people I talk to who have had digestive issues for years. They have been back and forth to the doctor, had all the tests under the sun and a number of medications as well, but their symptoms have still grumbled on making their lives miserable. Something as simple as a change of diet can often be the crux to their problems. I get a real buzz working with these people who put the effort in to replace certain food groups and feel their symptoms reduce and ultimately disappear. As a nutritional therapist, I believe food should never be underestimated in the path to good health and yorktest concurs with this.
How to arrange your consultation:
When you have received your results, simply give our friendly Customer Care team a call on 0800 130 0580 to book your 30-minute telephone consultation with one of our nutritional therapists.
Once you have booked a time which is convenient for you, the nutritional therapist will call you to discuss your results and help advise what to do next. It is a good idea to write down any questions you may have before your call to make sure you get the most out of your consultation, as well as having a pen and paper ready to take notes.
Discover your best self through yorktest’s consultations and make the most of your program.
